American Legion Department of Missouri Scholarship Award: Commander's scholarship - Do you know of a veteran presently attending or has been accepted by an accredited vocational technical college, college, or university in the state of Missouri, and who has served a minimum of 90 days and been honorably discharged and is a resident of Missouri, he or she is eligible to apply for the Commander's scholarship. The scholarship is for $1000. If you know of anyone interested contact me for an application or contact the department headquarters.

Missouri Veterans History Project (MVHP): Many Legionnaires/Veterans have been interviewed for the MVHP and received their CD copy of the interview. This worthy veteran and Missouri VHP project provides future generations of a rich history of all our servicemen and women throughout the Great Wars and into the present time. Please contact Linda Kaye Payton, Ann Roberts, or Donna Payne for a time and date to be interviewed. Remember, a veteran did not have to fight in any war; just that he/she served in the military. Thank you for your service.

Sick Call/Taps: Please remember in your prayers veterans, Legionnaires, and family members who are ill and who may have had surgery or other medical treatment this past year. Remember also those veterans and family members that have passed away in 2015. RIP and God bless you.
